What our guest say
Staying at JKMoulin made exploring the Provence effortless. Each day felt different.
Just 20 minutes from JK Moulin Paradou, Arles offers a completely different rhythm. Ancient, artistic, and slightly untamed, it is a city where Roman history meets contemporary culture.
Wander through the Roman arena, explore the narrow streets around Place du Forum, or enjoy a drink on a shaded terrace as the light softens towards evening. The city carries a raw authenticity that feels distinctly Provençal, less polished, more characterful.
Arles is ideal for a half-day escape or a slow afternoon without a plan. Discover its galleries, the Luma Tower, hidden courtyards, and cafés.
VISIT Arles

Paradou is perfectly positioned for discovering some of the most beautiful highlights of the Alpilles.
Just 100 metres from JKMoulin Paradou, the welcoming Café Castillon is perfect for a relaxed coffee, a glass of wine or a simple Provençal meal on the terrace. It is a favourite meeting place for locals and an easy option if you prefer to stay close.
Only a few minutes away lies Maussane-les-Alpilles, a lively village known for its cafés, restaurants and beautiful central square. Here you will also find Aux Ateliers Chez Franck et Flo, a popular local address known for its generous cuisine and convivial atmosphere.
Just five kilometres away, the remarkable Carrières de Lumières offers a unique cultural experience inside a former limestone quarry. Immersive light and music exhibitions are projected onto monumental stone walls, creating a spectacular atmosphere. The space remains pleasantly cool, making it ideal on warm summer days. After your visit, continue up to Les Baux-de-Provence, dramatically set atop the rocks, where narrow streets and panoramic views await.
Equally close is Fontvieille, a charming and relaxed village, particularly enjoyable for families. Near the Moulin de Daudet you will find a playground, and in the centre several welcoming bistros perfect for an easy lunch.
A little further away, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence is always worth a visit. Elegant streets, refined boutiques and lively terraces make it ideal for a leisurely stroll followed by a long lunch. Nearby, the ancient Roman site of Glanum offers a fascinating glimpse into Provence’s history, beautifully preserved and easily combined with a visit to Saint-Rémy.
From art and history to village life and nature, everything lies within a short and scenic drive from JKMoulin Paradou.
VISIT AROUND PARADOU
Less than an hour from JK Moulin Paradou, the extraordinary region of Camargue offers a completely different side of Provence. Situated between the Rhône River and the Mediterranean Sea, the Camargue is one of Europe’s most unique natural landscapes.
Here you will find vast wetlands, salt marshes and open horizons where nature takes centre stage. The region is famous for its wild white horses, traditional black Camargue bulls, and large colonies of pink flamingos that inhabit the lagoons throughout the year.
A visit to the historic fortified town of Aigues-Mortes is highly recommended. Surrounded by perfectly preserved medieval walls and overlooking the striking pink salt flats, the town offers beautiful views, charming streets and a fascinating glimpse into the region’s past.
For nature lovers, exploring the landscapes of Parc Naturel Régional de Camargue is an unforgettable experience. Whether by bicycle, horseback or on foot, visitors can discover quiet lagoons, birdlife and endless skies that feel far removed from the bustle of the Riviera.
The Camargue makes for a wonderful day trip from Paradou, combining nature, history and the unique atmosphere of southern France.
